TIROS 2009 Show
TIROS 2009 is the major international robotics exhibition in Taiwan. It offers an outstanding platform for worldwide robotics-related firms to demonstrate their new products and technologies. Via TIROS'09, robotics-related companies or who are interested in robotics can get up-to-date information from the exhibition. You can also create market opportunities with buyers or visitors to bring the biggest value from the exhibition.
TIROS is organized by Taiwan?s Industrial Department Bureau (IDB), Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) and Robotics Association Taiwan (ROBOAT) annually. TIROS will invite the major players of robotics industries around the world to join the event. It will also hold lots of events in parallel of the exhibition, such as robotics contests, seminars and conferences. During the show, industry leaders, experts, and researchers will gather together to share their insights toward the robotics industry, and also the current and future trends about this industry.
The strengths of Taiwan's robotics industry is that Taiwan owns the comprehensive industry supply chain and this guarantees manufacturing flexibility. Compared to other countries, Taiwan's robotics industry has the cutting age of entering this market at a fast pace. In order to foster and expand robotics industry, Taiwan's government launches four strategies to boost the industry:
Taiwan's government also sets the goal of being the robotics design and manufacturing center in the world in 2015 and creates the values of NT 2,500 billion. According to statistics from IDB, Taiwan's robotics related companies have been investing total amounts of NT.58.3 billion in the intelligent robots field. We can see the high-speed development of robots industry in the near future.
The exhibits at TIROS can be divided into two categories: Industrial robots and Service robots. Industrial robots can be further divided into robots arm, robot equipment; automation equipment, controller, the components of industrial robots. Service robots include clean, security, educational, entertainment, life assistance robots, and robots parts.
TIROS, a mega show of robotics, is the most professional robotics event in Taiwan, turns on from August 5-8, 2009 at Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall. This four-day event is expected to draw 100 exhibitors from home and abroad, using a total of 300 booths. It is an excellent platform for you to generate good business fortunes, an opportunity to present your proposition to consumers.
We cordially invite you to join the largest robotics exhibition in Taiwan this year.

The Robotics Association Taiwan (ROBOAT) was founded in March 2007 by experts who concern about Taiwan's robotics industry from different fields. For meeting the growing demands on industrial activities, to promote the cooperation and the development of Taiwan?s local robotics industry, to integrate the strength and power of related industries such as machinery, electronics, information etc., the ROBOAT plays the platform for exchange of robot technologies and for alliance with different industries, and to accelerate the development of the related industries of robot. As of the end of 2008, ROBOAT owns over 40 corporate and associate members. To push Taiwan's robotics industry to arrive on global stage, ROBOAT held the 1st session of TIROS and got very positive feedback from visitors and exhibitors. ROBOAT would play the most important role to bridge Taiwan?s robotics industry to the world. For more info, please visit www.roboat.org.tw
