Nordic Conference on Robotics & Automation 2010
October 20-21, 2010 at Stockholm International Fairs
After a successful conference 2008 the Nordic Conference on Robotics & Automation will now be arranged for the second time - and now with an even more distinct focus on complete solutions for automated production.
The Nordic Conference on Robotics & Automation 2010 will be held on 20-21 October 2010 at the Stockholm International Fairs. The conference is being put on by SWIRA (Swedish Industrial Robot Association) in collaboration with robotics associations throughout the Nordic region and the Scandinavian Technical Fair.
The aim of the conference is to highlight Automation and Robotics in practice! Robots are an area of great interest to many companies, which are increasingly realising that automation is necessary to maintain and develop efficient production in the manufacturing sector. The conference will present examples of how automation, using robotics as its natural foundation, need not be complicated or expensive. The conference aims to inspire more companies to invest in efficient Lean-based automation and production technology in order to increase their competitiveness.
Automation is also a key watchword for the Scandinavian Technical Fair which, following several years of development, has taken its place as northern Europe's leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry. The Scandinavian Technical Fair will run from 19-22 October, in parallel with the conference. On show will be machine tools, robots, safety systems, maintenance and other production equipment - everything from components and sub-systems to turnkey solutions and services. Both the conference and the fair offer golden opportunities for networking and knowledge acquisition, helping manufacturing companies to innovate and rationalise production, developing and becoming more competitive in a global market.
On 20 October, at 19.00 speakers and delegates are invited to a reception and networking opportunity in Stockholm's Stadshus. We will be treated to a buffet of Swedish delicacies in a historic atmosphere. The visit also includes a guided tour of the City Hall including its magnificent blue and golden halls - Blå Hallen and Gyllene Salen. The reception and networking opportunity at City Hall will be a pleasurable opportunity to make new industry contacts. The networking opportunity is included in the price of the conference.
