Robot Manufacturers present Innovations

IFR Members exhibit at iREX 2011 in Tokyo

Theme of this year's International Robot Exhibition (iREX 2011) is "Making a Future with Robot",  with hope for further advances of Robot Technology (RT) for the future. World's leading companies / organizations will exhibit leading-edge robot technologies and products at this exhibition. Some of these exhibitors are IFR Members.

Robot Technology (RT) has not only contributed to rapid progress of world's manufacturing industry, but also gradually expanded in our daily life. Attempts have been made by RT to solve various issues in the fields of manufacturing, security, medical and welfare. RT and Service Robots are also expected to be major players to create a new type of industry.


This fair provides areas for both business matching and technology exchange.

Here's a look at what Kawasaki Robotics has lined up for this year's exhibition:

  • Demonstration of the YF03N, a parallel link robot designed to handle high-speed picking applications within the distribution process.
  • Demonstration of the RD80N, a new robot capable of palletizing and depalletizing bagged cargo. Demonstration of the RS80N, a robot designed to perform 5-axis machining.
  • Demonstration of the servo tombow-R painting system (new painting system with the painting robot KF121 placed in the middle of the servo tombow)
  • We will set up a special "hands-on" corner featuring a computer on which both K-ROSET (an off-line teaching software) and KCONG (an off-line programing software) are installed.
  • In addition, we will collaborate with the following manufactures to display two robot system sets used with the RS05L:
    • - Heatproof labeling system (YS tech Co., Ltd.)
    - Laser flaw inspection system (Sigma Co., Ltd.)

Motoman FS100 controller

Yaskawa's Motoman robots will demonstrate the seamless integration of ideas and products that has made Yaskawa the largest global supplier of AC inverters, servo drives, direct drives, machine controllers, and industrial robots. A special corner titled Green Innovation will showcase the wide range of possible applications for Yaskawa's innovative technology in production facilities that save space, energy, and the environment and where people work in cooperation with  robots. In growing markets such as that of the food and beverage industry, the new Motoman FS100 controller smoothly controls all the processes involved for the new Motoman MPP3 delta picking robot with an integrated vision system and conveyor tracking in one of the many new robotic systems planned for exhibition.
