International Symposium on Robotics ISR 2012

The 43rd International Symposium on Robotics (ISR), the world's most prestigious annual robotics conference, takes place during the Taipei International Robot Show (TIROS) 2012 Show and Conference in Taipei, Taiwan, August 29-31, 2012. The conference theme is "Intelligent Human-Robot Interaction"

Unlike other conferences, the ISR is focused on the fusion between industry and academia. Every year, more than half of attendees of the ISR come from industry. The purpose of the ISR 2012 is to serve as a bridge between academia and industry.

The ISR 2012 brings together an international community of experts to discuss the state-of-the-art, new research results, perspectives of future developments, and innovative applications relevant to robotics, automation, manufacturing, mechatronics, control, and related areas.

11:10 hrs Keynote Speech I of Toshio Fukuda, Nagoya University, Japan

30 August

08:20 hrs Start of parallel lectures on different topics
10:30 hrs Keynote Speech II of Manfred Gundel, Kuka Roboter, Germany
18:00 hrs ISR Gala Dinner with Engelberger Award Presentation

31 August

08:20 hrs Start of parallel lectures on different topics
10:30 hrs Keynote Speech III of Dr. Shinsuke Sakakibara, Fanuc, IFR President, Japan
17:30 hrs Farewell Party

IFR will host all meetings at the venue: Executive Board, General Assembly, Industrial Robot Suppliers Group, Research Committee and Service Robot Group.
