IFR at INNOPROM's Conference in Moscow

Exhibition will take place in July 9-12, 2014

As part of the preparation for the fifth anniversary industrial trade fair INNOPROM the international conference "New industrial environment: New industries, New vectors of development" was held at the Baltchug Kempinski Hotel in Moscow. Dr. Bauer, Chairman of IFR Industrial Robot Suppliers Committee, took part in the conference.

The conference was held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Formika Group, the official operator of Russia's main industrial trade fair, INNOPROM. Denis Manturov, Russia's Minister of Industry and Trade, chaired the discussion.

At the conference the participants discussed the prospects for new industries development, including robotics, automation, new materials and the international cooperation in these fields. The brought-up topics will be elaborated further at INNOPROM's business program, which theme in 2014 is "Intelligent Industry". INNOPROM will take place in Ekaterinburg in July 9-12.

Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, announced the Ministry's plans at INNOPROM-2014: "We consider INNOPROM to be the main industrial trade fair in Russia. This year it will be devoted to the new industries, and this is why the Ministry is planning to hold the first session of the Strategic Council on Investments in New Industries by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at INNOPROM on July 10. We invite IFR representative to become member of the Council and take part in this session".

Dr. Andreas Bauer about Russia's robotics market: "The Russian market has high potential of implementing robotics in such sectors as automotive industry, industry service sector, food processing, packaging and logistics. We anticipate the growth of robot supply in Russia by 60% by the year of 2016. On the whole, according to our forecast, robot demand in the world will grow steadily by 5% annually".
